Jane Petty is the alias of Madison Purdy, an artist who primarily works with acrylic on canvas based in Austin, TX. She is passionate about making art social and the intersection of community and art. You can see that in her current project “Weight of Dreams” where she explores her desire to not be forgotten and the internal and external pressures that come with those desires.

Outside of her personal art, Madison Purdy works to bring people together through art with her community ATX Art Nights. With over 38K followers and community support, this community serves as her proof of concept of the power of art as a social connector.

She hopes to continue to bring people together and learn about many cultures and arts around the world throughout her artist journey.
